L’Île-du-Prince-Édouard ou l’Î.-P.-É. (en anglais : Prince Edward Island ou PEI, en gaélique écossais : Eilean a’ Phrionnsa, en micmac : Epekwitk (Francis-Smith)) est la plus petite des provinces du Canada en superficie et en population. En 1864, l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard a accueilli la conférence qui a mené aux Articles de Confédération et à la création du Canada en 1867. Néanmoins, l'Î.-P.-É. n'est devenue une province canadienne qu'en 1873.
Au recensement de 2011, on y a dénombré une population de
140 204 habitants. Avec 24,7 habitants par kilomètre carré, c'est la
province la plus densément peuplée.

Around Prince Edward Island there are many lighthouses large and small. Ornamental lighthouses are not listed here.

When visiting lighthouses, please observe and respect private
property where noted. Be careful around the shore; stay away from high
banks (Cape Bear) or treacherous rocks (Cape Tryon). Harbour entrances
(runs) bordered by two breakwaters can carry a fast current with tidal
action. Do not swim in or around them and do not jump in. Confine your
water activities to the supervised areas.
